TOGETHER WITH
Todayβs newsletter is brought to you in partnership with Mission Support. Stay focused on your mission and let Mission Support help you with everything you didn't go to seminary for.
π‘ 1 SOLUTION FOR EFFECTIVE MINISTRY
Sometimes the most productive thing your church can do is to actually do less. Then you can focus on the things that really matter.
Have all your small groups run the same study (at New City, we do sermon based leader guides)
Have fewer ministries that are run well with high engagement
Have only a couple of local places your church serves/partners with and build stronger ties
When there are too many options, it is hard for your church to communicate whatβs important, and for people to decide what to do.
If multiple small groups run their groups differently, how can you tell someone interested in joining a small group how small groups function at your church?
If you have too many community partners, the relationships can only be so deep.
It could be that by trying to do too much, your church isnβt doing enough.
Aligned ministries with clear direction are easier for people to opt into and will lead to more fruitful results.
